Coconut soap is one of the best household cleaners there is. It shares many of the same properties as Savon de Marseille however is not good for human skin or animals, for cleansing, as it is extremely drying. It is exceptionally pure and antibacterial which makes it a magical all purpose cleaner.
As A Powerful Stain Remover
Coconut soap can be used to clean your home from sofas, rugs, tiled floors and stone floors. You can clean counters, tubs or pretty much any surface in your home. Simply rub a piece of soap on a damp cloth or sponge or evenly distribute the soap grated onto any surface you want to treat and rinse well. Coconut soap is ideal to clean or degrease walls and tiled floors. To clean stone, use a brush soaked in Coconut Soap. This technique can be used for anything from travertine, marble granite, terra cotta and even slate.
As a Clean Laundry Detergent
Coconut soap can be used to clean your finest cashmere sweaters to newborn baby clothing to delicate silks and lingerie items (my favourite). Since our coconut soap has no colouring or synthetic additives, it is ideal for sensitive skin and delicate clothing.
Coconut soap can also be used as a stubborn stain remover. To remove a stain from a garment, simply rub the area with a barely damp Marseille soap to form a crust on the stain to treat. Let it dry, and launder as you normally would. This technique can be used for stains such as: alcohol, chocolate, coffee, food and saucy stains, lipstick and make up.

+Pour the baking soda and Coconut soap into the pot filled with boiling water.
+Stir with a wooden spoon until the potion is well diluted.
+Let cool and pour the laundry detergent into a sealed container.
+Shake the mixture before each wash.
As a Plant Pest Control Solution
Since our soap is 100% biodegradable, it can be used, when grated and diluted with hot water as an insecticide on plants and soils. The beauty of Coconut soap is that you can also treat edible plants such as fruit trees, grape vines or edible garden plants with this solution. Once rinsed, the fruit is edible even after treatment with coconut soap.
In a spray bottle, pour hot water over 2 tablespoons of grated Coconut soap. Mix well, shake it up. Spray on the affected plants. Repeat for 3 days.
As an Iron Cleaner
To clean a clogged iron sole plate, wipe some Coconut Soap on a still warm iron, then on a damp cloth. This should extend the life of your iron and help not to get stains on your clothes.
As a Green and Biodegradable Dishwashing Liquid
Mix well 1/2 cup grated Coconut soap with warn water. To add a fresh scent, add one of two drops of peppermint, lemon or any essential oil of your liking.
This beautiful coconut soap comes with or without a loofah. The loofah makes for an excellent dish scrubber.
